Owner & Principal Dance Teacher

Gail Brocklesby l.u.k.a g.p.t.d & Lecturer

35 years of dancing Ballroom Latin Ballet Tap Modern and Disco.

28 years of teaching brings a wealth and knowledge for all dancers.

In 1979 Gail started her dancing in Grimsby with her first class in Ballroom & Latin, a lack of empathy by her teacher in her struggle to master the Slow Foxtrot at a young age was the first lesson she learnt when it came to her teaching career later on in life. After 3 months a move to well established dance school Stevenson School of Dancing - in Grimsby was the beginning of the rest of her life. All of Gail's exams were taken with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) in Ballroom & Latin and British Ballet Organisation (BBO) in Ballet and Tap with Lynn Shaw Dance School. At the age of 13 Gail, was invited to help teach young children and at 17years of age was she helping to teach Adult classes. Gail has a wealth of teaching knowledge and has the ability in patience, precision and enjoyment of learning to dance, all passed to her from her teacher. Gail qualified with The United Kingdom Alliance (UKA) and is continuing to achieve personal development in teaching practises by attending conferences and workshops in many areas of dance and its industry.

Gail has taught dance not only in dance schools but in many different areas such as Holiday companies (HF Holidays),Schools (Queen Elizabeth Grammer School Horncastle), Religious groups (Kings Outreach, Methodists), Salsa groups (Grimsby Insititue etc), and has lectured for The British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD) in Lincoln.

Gail's level of qualification allows her to also teacher train other aspiring teachers throught Theory Exams, Student Teacher Exams and Associate Level of exam.

Gail's current student teachers and in training Student teachers are

Karen has been dancing and teaching alongside Gail and other teachers for many years, Karen excels with her patience and understanding of learning practices and is a an oustanding asset to the school.
